Itinerary

Day 1

Let's get Settled in Tallinn

When you land in the Tallinn Airport you pick up your pre-arranged car and take a leisurely drive to the city which is home to many cafes and shops and the well known Old Town.

The heart of the Old Town is the Town Hall Square, where Estonians greet their heroes returning home from big accomplishments abroad.

In summer, the Old Town Days and Medieval Days attract Estonians and foreigners alike to the Town Hall Square.

Day 2

Explore Tallinn & Lahemaa National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Tallinn’s old town. Tallinn has a well-preserved medieval centre known as Old Town.

You'll visit many historic sites including Toompea Castle, a stately Baroque castle now home to Estonia's parliament; the 13th century Dome Church and the Russian Revival Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. In the afternoon leave Tallinn to see the Lahemaa National Park which lies along the country's northern coast and is considered one of the last unspoiled regions of the Baltic coast.

Let's get active today with a guided bike tour along scenic seaside and primeval forests. Return back to Tallinn in the late afternoon.

Enjoy the evening by roaming around Tallinn and enjoy a private dinner table reserved at the medieval restaurant Peppersack. The Peppersack Restaurant is in an interesting historical house in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town.

Day 3

Visit the Biggest Island in Estonia

After breakfast, drive to the former military town Rummu with the Murru Prison and Rummu Quarry, all of which provides insights into the country's wartime history. Take a canoe ride on Rummu lake.

You will have the opportunity to see the “Underwater Prison” ruins as well the world-famous “ash-hill”.

Then take a ferry to Saaremaa Island, The biggest island in Estonia. You'll then head to the island's capital city, Kuressaare, where you'll check into your hotel and relax in the city's historic center.

A table will be reserved for your dinner at restaurant Ku-kuu.

Day 4

Castles, Hiking & Biking Day

Your first stop is the Kuressaare Episcopal Castle, a 14th-century medieval fortification.

It was built by crusaders looking to Christianize the island, and it remained a strategic stronghold until the early 19th century.

You'll learn more about the history with a visit to the castle's museum followed by a hike up the towers for unforgettable views. In the afternoon, explore Saaremaa Island by bike.

On the bike tour you'll see the most famous landmarks such as Kaali Crater, Angla Windmills, Panga Cliff, and Järve Dunes. You'll return to Kuressaare and will have the evening free.

Day 5

Explore the 2nd Largest City in Estonia

After breakfast, you'll drive west to Tartu - the second largest city in Estonia. Enjoy a private Tartu walking tour, with sights of Town Hall square with its statue of Kissing Students.

Tartu University founded in 1632 and the St. Johns church with its many terracotta sculptures. And the rest of the day is reserved for Ahhaa, the biggest and most entertaining science centre in the Baltics.

Your evening is planned with a reserved table in the heart of the Tartu old town at restaurant Pierre.

Day 6

Head out to Haanja Nature Park

Head out and drive to the Haanja Nature Park and Suur Munamägi hill - the highest natural point in Estonia. Climb the 60m high observation tower to see the beautiful rolling landscape.

In the afternoon visit the Mooska farm to discover the rural life together with the family and get an overview of the construction, heating, sauna rituals and family traditions of smoke sauna.

Late afternoon, the Mooska farm host welcomes you to a black sauna ritual and afterwards for a 3 course dinner made in the farm's household.

Day 7

Swimming in Peipsi Lake

In the morning, drive north to Peipsi Lake and take your time in the morning to go for a swim.

The road goes through villages on the shore of Lake Peipus, inhabited by both Russians and Estonians living side by side, and which is famous for its rich cultural diversity.

In the afternoon, drive back to Tallinn and visit the Teliskivi Creative District not far from the Old Town. It is Estonia's biggest creative economic enterprise center.

The hub is a bohemian place for relaxation with a cup of coffee or a pint of beer and a good place to go shopping for unique souvenirs before leaving.

Day 8

Explore the City

Tallinn is a true hidden gem just starting to receive its due.

Equal parts medieval and modern, this quirky city of around 400,000 people somehow manages to constantly reinvent itself, while still honoring its past.

Enjoy your final day before your departure.
