Today you will drive to Adams Peak, another World Heritage site and multi religious place in Sri Lanka. It is an isolated mountain peak that sits 7359 feet above sea level. Adams peak is a sacred and beautiful place, popular among local and foreign tourists alike. The season begins from the full moon Poya day in December and ends on the full moon Poya day in May.
It is difficult to climb the rock during the weekend because it can be too crowded with local pilgrims. You can start the journey in the evening or at midnight, to avoid the heat of the midday sun. To witness the sun rise during the journey, results in amazing scenery views.
Temperatures on top of the hill can be around 15 degrees Celsius, so be sure to pack warm clothes and equipment according to your needs. You will spend the night on top of the mountain, able to relish in the magnificent views. (Allocated hotel is Heaven Hills or similar hotel if required)
