You will be transferred from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park, stopping en-route to experience the historical-minded exploration of Nyanza and Butare – visit the King’s palace and a traditional Rwanda home. View the uniquely beautiful architecture and enjoy traditional dancers from the museum. At the Ethnographical Museum, receive an introduction to Rwanda’s kingdoms.

After this, have some lunch before proceeding to Nyungwe Forest to check in to your hotel. This gives you some time to settle in and freshen up before an unforgettable tree top canopy adventure.

In the afternoon, visit the canopy walk to view the thick Nyungwe canopy from a height 70 metres above the ground. This allows you to view the forest in a completely unique way, and spot many different bird species.

Early an breakfast at 5:30am before beginning your drive to the edge of the forest for your exciting Chimpanzee Trekking adventure. You may get the chance to spot other primates such as; the black and white colobus monkeys, mountain monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons and many others!

In the afternoon, after a delicious lunch, you will start your hike to a breathtaking Waterfall; from here you will have the chance to see different vegetation, beautiful orchids etc.

After your transfer to Gisenyi on the Lake Kivu, check in at your hotel. Once you arrive, you will have lunch overlooking the lake and go for a stunning boat ride, while hopping between the different islands found in the lake.

In the afternoon, visit a local fishing village. Enjoy a fun-filled boat ride with these traditional fishermen.

Dinner and overnight stay will be on a full board basis.
