Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Tanzania

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the Hotel/Lodge in Arusha for an overnight. Later, our knowledgable safari manager will present a detailed briefing, before leaving you to relax and enjoy the rest of your day at the lodge or hotel.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast at 8:30 am, our driver will pick you up at the Hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park. We will then enjoy an exciting game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by Dinner.

Day 3

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park. With its endless plains, rolling into the distance, as far as the eye can see.

We head to the Central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source and therefore attracts wildlife that represent most of the Serengeti's species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a late evening game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park.

Day 4

Serengeti Plain to Ngorongoro Crater

An early wake up will be worth it during your exciting game drive in the Serengeti National park, where if you are lucky enough, you can spot The Big Five.

Afterwards, we will head back to the campsite for brunch and later, a delicious hot lunch. Today, you will be doing game viewing en-route, during your transfer from Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater late in the evening, where the night will be spent on the crater rim.

On route to Ngorongoro Crater, you will have the chance to experience another game drive through the Serengeti

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara

Starting early in the morning, equipped with a picnic lunch, we descend 2000 ft, down to the Crater floor. This gives us the opportunity to enjoy some game viewing during the 5-6 hour overland safari. Lets explore this Garden of Eden! With the chance of spotting buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many more species - all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast at the campsite, you will continue with a game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park with a delicious packed lunch. The Lake occupies a large area of the park, the forest starts just as you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley and hot spring to the West of the park.

The park is home to the infamous Tree climbing Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, and troops of Baboons, also birds such as; Flamingo, Ostrich, Egyptian Geese and more. After your picnic lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive and later on, we will drive you to Arusha.

Enjoy your game drive through Lake Manyara National Park, giving you a chance to view the infamous Tree climbing Lion and much more!

Day 7

Arusha - Kilimanjaro National Park

In the morning, you will have a 2 hour drive through Kilimanjaro, passing the semi-tropical foothills to the Marangu area, situated on the South-Eastern side of the mountain. As you drive, there are usually some beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of the mountain.

On arrival at Marangu gate, you will meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb.

Mandara Hut is a collection of basic mountain huts with bunk beds, where you inevitably meet up with fellow trekkers who are bent on the same goal. The Kilimanjaro trekking will take approximately 7 hours. Late in the evening, we head back to Arusha and stay overnight at Hotel.

As you drive through the Marangu area, there are usually some beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of the mighty Kilimanjaro

Day 8

Transfer to Airport (Kilimanjaro/Arusha airport)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home (depending on your flight time.)

You can extend your tour to stay longer in Serengeti National park or opt to continue with a 6-7 day Kilimanjaro trekking experience!
