Start your day the way nature intended; witnessing our wild residents emerge from the bushes and grasslands as the sun begins to rise over the iconic African Bush. This journey engages all your senses, combined with the beautiful landscapes and the amazing tropical rain forest in Bwindi.

Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Your Driver guide will warmly welcome you and prepare you for the adventure that lies ahead. This collection can be arranged from either Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, by request.

Your driver will take you through Kampala city, one of the busiest cities in Africa 24/7. Continuing your drive to the first stopover; The Equator Crossing Point, the opportunity to have a foot in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres simultaneously. Thereafter, stopping for lunch at The Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara.

Once your hunger has been satisfied, you will proceed through The Mbarara and Ntungamo districts, rewarded with the beautiful views of the tea and banana plantations, truly amazing!

Enjoy the snaking of the roads, as you drive along the green savanna grasslands with the most fascinating views. You will continue to Bwindi, with the rest of the evening to relax and dream of the breathtaking encounter that awaits you.

Day 2

Ultimate Gorilla Adventure

Early wake up calls to start the day, you'll enjoy breakfast and a packed lunch on route. Starting at The Gorilla Experience briefing point where you will meet your professional and knowledgeable Guides who will give you information about the experience that awaits you.

Entering The Bwindi Forest, you will have the chance to meet The Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat, witnessing the interaction of our closest cousins. This will be the most iconic and humbling moment, truly once in a lifetime. You will have more than 5 hours with The Gorillas, as you learn more about them and observe their behaviour.

After your time with the Gorillas, you will return to the hotel to share stories and reflect on your experience, enjoying the views of the ultimate Forests in Bwindi National Park from the comfort of your balcony.

Depart For Kampala

After enjoying a spectacular African style breakfast, you will start the journey back to either Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. Time to reminisce on the beauty of the interactions witnessed during your stay. A delicious lunch will also be provided on route.

Kenlink Tours & Travel is a destination management company (DMC) based in Uganda, arranging Safaris in East Africa, including Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. We are passionate about travel and taking you on your dream adventure!

Uganda is a land locked country located in East Africa, and covers an area of more than 241,000 square Kilometres. With over 1078 bird species, an abundance of Wildlife including Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and many others. Uganda is also home to a number of primates; like the Chimpanzees - you will have a 95% chance of finding and engaging with them during your Chimpanzee Tracking activity.

More than 51% of the world’s Gorilla population also call Uganda home, most can be found in The Bwindi Forest National Park and Mgahinga National Park, both located in the South Western parts of the country.

We can organise combinations of experiences, including; Wildlife Safaris, Gorilla and/or Chimpanzee tracking safaris, Cultural tours, Hiking Tours, Boat Cruises etc.

Supporting the local communities: Our trips do not focus on profit but more so supporting and uplifting the Local Communities. We do this by assisting orphans, with help of school fees, shelter, medication and others facilities. Conservation: Another target is supporting the Conservation efforts in Uganda, protecting the wildlife, animals and trees that I hold so dear.

I believe that, when you travel to new places, you will be permanently changed by both the new environment and the chance to engage with new people. I love to share in these travel experiences with my guests, to watch them fall in love with my country and its people.

I speak both English and Swahili, but between my team - we can accommodate Tours in French, German, Dutch, Italian and Japanese!
