The Hide has set a bar of excellence and luxury for Hwange National Park accommodation and is consistently voted as one of the “Best Safari Lodges” in Zimbabwe. Located in a prime position in the Park, The Hide offers a life-enriching safari experience for its guests, from its fantastic game viewing right on your doorstep, to a variety of daily activities to suit everyone and the warm and welcoming staff, who make you feel like family from the minute you arrive. Cape Town Adventure

On arrival in Cape Town, you will need to collect your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. In the Arrivals Hall, you will be met by your Hills of Africa guide (look for your name on a sign) who will transfer you to Cape Cadogan Hotel.

The next morning you will enjoy a private-guided tour exploring the gorgeous peninsula region of Cape Town. This scenic coastal meander will introduce you to the extended suburbs of Cape Town. Passing through many of Cape Town's most beautiful villages: Camps Bay, Llundudno, Hout Bay, Simon's Town, and Kalk Bay. A visit to the famous Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope.

A visit to the penguin colony at Boulders. In the 1980's a couple of penguins decided to relocate to one of Cape Town's favourite beaches, Boulders beach, and they must have liked what they saw as they then got busy breeding. Today there are over 3,000 penguins living at Boulders. The beach is now only open to penguins and is closed to sun tanners! There are however viewing platforms that will allow you to get close to the penguins.

Walks here are always exciting!!

Most afternoon activities will end with sundowners on the concession. These activities all end at approximately 7.00pm, in time for hot showers and then evening drinks and snacks around a campfire in winter and in the open under a canopy of stars in summer. Dinner is served shortly thereafter.

After dinner, guests have the opportunity of going on a night game drive lasting 30 minutes to an hour on which spotlights are used to show up the nocturnal animals such as bat-eared fox, as well as lion, leopard and hyena. This can be a most interesting and exciting drive on occasions up to 15 species has been spotted.

Like the exquisite bird after which it was named, “Malachite” is one of the Zambezi River’s crowning gems, offering the best dinner cruise in Victoria Falls.

Amuse bouche and snack platters are served while the sun sinks below the shimmering surface of the Zambezi. A barman and three intuitive waiters anticipate guests’ needs, serving a selection of lively cocktails and imported premium spirits throughout the journey.

After the sun has sunk below the river line, dinner is served on the lower deck of the vessel, exemplifying the hallmarks of exquisite cuisine prepared on board by two Chefs. The rich aroma of locally sourced, fresh ingredients wafts around diners as the dishes are plated. Time seems to stand still as the boat gently glides along to the sound of water lapping up against her sides. Far removed from the glare of city lights and noise, the moon and stars shine brightly in the sky and an atmosphere of mystery and romance envelopes the evening’s experience.
