Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will finish your customs formalities. Our representative will be waiting for you with a nameplate in his hand. He will greet you and transfer you to the hotel. You will get briefing regarding your itinerary and then have a luxurious stay overnight.

Day 2

Fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding (2600m)

Since weather remains quite bad during the afternoon, we will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After 30 minutes of glorious scenic flight, close to the Himalaya, we will land at Tenzing-Hilary Airport in Lukla. We will assemble the crew and begin our Everest Base Camp Kalapattar Trek from Lukla. Passing through Mani rocks and Ghat, we will reach Phakding village where we will stay overnight.

Enjoy a glorious scenic flight, close to the Himalaya, as you travel from Kathmandu to Lukla.

Day 3-4

Phakding to Namche Bazaar (2835m) 6hrs

Walking along Dudhkoshi River, we will make it to pine forest. We need to cross the suspension bridge to reach Zapute village. Crossing Benkar and Chumoa villages, we will reach Monjo which is the popular gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. We will walk through the park to the river. Crossing the Hillary Bridge, we will reach Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.

The next day will be your acclimatisation day in Namche. It is recommended that you take this day of rest at Namche Bazaar as there will be a sharp increase in altitude from the next day. Namche is also known as the capital land of the legendary Sherpas. It has remained the major trade centre between neighbouring Tibetans and locals since primordial period. We will visit Thame village where we can witness Sherpa culture in its full glory. Khumjung, Khunde and Khongde are other nearby villages. Stay another night in Namche.

Day 5

Namche to Deboche (3720m)

Waking up early in the morning, we will hike along Dudh Koshi River enjoying the engrossing views of Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other Mountains. Passing through the colourful rhododendron forest, we will arrive at Sanasa which is rich in Himalayan wildlife. Brief climbing of the upward trail will take us to Tengboche monastery, the largest monastery in Khumbu region. After allocating some time to view the grandeur of Monastery, we will move further to Deboche where we will stay overnight.

Hike along Dudh Koshi River enjoying the engrossing views of Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other Mountains.

Day 6-7

Deboche to Dingboche (4412m)

From Deboche, we will lower down to Imja River. Climbing the raised path, we will reach Pangboche village (3860m) where we will visit the region’s oldest Pangboche Monastery. From Pangboche, we can see the mesmerising view of Imja Valley. Following the ascending trail, we will reach Lobuche River, from here we will take a sharp climb to Dingboche. We will stay overnight in Dingboche.

The next day will be your acclimatisation day in Dingboche. This day of rest is highly recommended. It will help to break the stress of the trek. Dingboche is a summer settlement of locals, which offers epic views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and other mountains and peaks. We will also enjoy the view of Imja River from the area. Stay another night in Dingboche.

Visit the region’s oldest Pangboche Monastery, during your trek to Dingboche.

Day 8

Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m) 5-6hrs

From Dingboche, we will return to Pheriche. From Pheriche, we will take an easy walk to Dugla. The trail continues through steep moraine of the Khumbu glacier to Chupki Lhara. We will walk along the memorial site for deceased legendary Everest climber Babu Chhiri Sherpa to Lobuche. The path is scenic with views of Pumori and Khumbutse. Stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 9

Trek to E.B.C (5364m), Back to Gorekshep (5164m)

We will walk along the glaciated Gorak Shep Lake to the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. Following the rugged terrain that is clustered with dunes and moraine, we will make it to Everest Base Camp. We will enjoy the views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori Mountains and then return to Gorakshep where we will stay overnight.

Day 10

Trek to Kala Pathar (5545m), Return to Pheriche (4250m)

We will begin our trek much earlier than dawn as we expect to reach Kalapathar before sunrise so that we can enjoy the mesmerising sunrise view from Kalapathar. Facing the challenges of thin air, we will follow the scenic path with views of Lingtren, Khumbutse, and other peaks to make it to Kalapathar. We will enjoy the close-up view of Everest and amazing sunrise view and then return to Pheriche for an overnight stay.

Day 11

Pheriche to Phortse (3750m)

There is usually a strong wind blowing at Pheriche. A brief walk from Pheriche will take us to Phortse. We will enjoy the views of Cholatse and Tawache peaks from Phortse. We will lower down from Pheriche to Phortse. The path is scenic with views of wildlife. Visit local monastery and stay overnight in Phortse.

Day 12

Phortse to Namche (2835m)

Leaving Phortse, we will descend to Phortsethanga. The area is clustered with teahouse settlements. We will lower down through colourful pine and rhododendron forest. Crossing the wooden bridge, we will arrive at Sanasa village from where we will descend to Namche.

Day 13

Namche to Lukla (2800m)

From Namche, we will descend to the bridge over Dudh Koshi River and then we will continue to walk up to Monjo. Security officials will check for formalities at the check post of Sagarmatha National Park. We will then return to Phakding. After a brief rest, we will return to Lukla. We will return to Kathmandu on the next day. You can spend this time writing in your journal or arranging your photo album to collect your memories from this incredible experience.

Day 14-15

Fly back to Kathmandu (1310m)

We will take a quick thirty minute early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. We will return to the hotel. This is a free day. You can spend the day as you wish. Enjoy a delicious farewell dinner in the evening.

Ask us if you need help in packing your luggage in preparation for your departure. The next morning, You will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey and we hope to see you again soon!
